Edward P. Jones: You have to drudge it all up out of your own self, out of your imagination.

Emilie Goulet: Some people, it's not necessarily their jam, because it can be a little technical.

Jones: Then these new people bought the building and they didn’t make the upstairs tenants put down carpet or anything.

Goulet: Oh my gosh.

Jones: Yeah.

Goulet: Right before you said it, I literally thought it would be really interesting to have someone that is older, much older, and play with flashbacks and things like that.

Jones: It’s not necessarily compassion so much as it is an attempt to tell the character’s full story.

Goulet: Pixar has its own, and it's really good.

Jones: I’ve never sat down and tried to analyze it.

Goulet: You're here because of that.

Jones: I hadn’t taken New York’s money.

Goulet: In Saint-Lambert, on the South Shore. There’s got to be more to life than this.

Jones: Ten years. We’d sometimes spend two, three hours.

Goulet: We make sure that we iterate on the shots, right? We're making this thing together.

Jones: There’s a certain connection you get without even really knowing that you’re being connected.
