Vincent Gallo: Well, let me say this.

Frida Giannini: No, you tell me.

Gallo: No. Then $10,000 to an agent, who does nothing.

Giannini: Yes, that’s why. You are playing a character, and I’m designing a character.

Gallo: That’s all bullshit.

Giannini: No, no. There are people who are waiting for the extreme pieces from the fashion show.

Gallo: Have you ever seen a million dollars in cash?

Giannini: Yeah, sure.

Gallo: It made me look at myself very closely. Don’t ask me why.

Giannini: The look of Robert Redford was so cool, so chic, so '70s, but very, very elegant.

Gallo: Yes. It was lonely, isolating, and overwhelming.

Giannini: It means it sells, and that’s very important to me.

Gallo: Brilliant. Elaine May's A New Leaf, with her and Walter Matthau.

Giannini: It is one of my favorite movies.

Gallo: I had her phone number and address, but when I buzzed her buzzer, on 53rd Street between Second and Third Avenues, me lugging this huge suitcase, there was nobody there.

Giannini: There is an entire industry of people who require me to be on time.

Gallo: Anyway, I went home and thought about it.

Giannini: What are you going to do next?
