Sarah Palin: Are you ready to make America great again?
Gillian Anderson: I've wanted to do it since I was about 16.
Palin: You are just going to get beat up, and chewed up, and spit out. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Anderson: Sometimes one can recover from that and sometimes one can't, and it adds a level of insecurity.
Palin: This is going to be so much fun.
Anderson: Yes, it is.

Palin: You know, they stomp on our neck, and then they tell us, “Just chill, okay, just relax.”
Anderson: You can't really backtrack after that.
Palin: Oh my goodness gracious.
***
Anderson: The stakes are quite high.
Palin: And the proof of this?
Anderson: The way the war bits, as you call them, have been shot for this is extraordinary—some of the best early war footage that I think I've ever seen.
Palin: Right. You, with the hands that rock the cradle.
Anderson: [Laughs] Not necessarily.
