Jordan Terrell “Playboi Carti” Carter: People talk. Sometimes I feel like I don’t know how to talk.
Claudia Alta "Lady Bird" Johnson: It takes so much money; you're so open to public abuse or you're questioned—everything you do is questioned.
Carter: Boom. Exactly. That’s what it is.

Johnson: And then that night my daughters are going to give me a party about which I know very little.
Carter: I would love to get invited to some parties.

Johnson: We just heard on Sunday that a family's house had burned down, and before the week was over a lot of people had collected money and taken a starter out to the folks.
Carter: And I don’t like putting people in those positions, so I just stay to myself.
Johnson: But I think that that's a historic phenomenon.
Carter: Even with the merch. I didn’t make the rules.
Johnson: Same thing in picture shows; same thing in even—in liquor stores. It’s all their idea.

Carter: Certain things you can’t change. That will never change.
Johnson: Who knows? Government isn't the only way to express it.

Johnson: And so why should I expose myself to resentment, anger, bitterness—all of those things—or use up energy.
Carter: Nothing really hurts my feelings other than, just like, love.
