Here's the backstory on this bit of 1982 musicology. Hi-Fi was primarily the work of the two singers in this video, Ian Matthews and David Surkamp. Matthews is best know for his 60s work with Fairport Convention and Surkamp fronted the underground proggy group Pavlov's Dog in the 60s. Both were seeking to resurrect their careers with Hi-Fi, but the project never ended up going anywhere.
