The reality is that medical, political and technological advances have been the story of American history. But they've all been accompanied by a genuine opportunity to better your condition. I was born in 1968. I'd have had more economic opportunity had I been born in 1948. Kids born in 1988 have had less opportunity than me. What of those born in 2008?
