Rheingold, one of the most classic regional beers, was the "official" brew of the New York Mets, back when a lot of ballparks offered just one brew, like the Yanks and Ballantine. It was shut down in '76 and then revived in a minor way many years later, but has never been revived to its former popularity. Sort of like how Stroh's was the beer of Michigan, National Premium and Natty Boh in Maryland, and when Coors was unavailable outside of the West.
