A farmer in a remote Chinese province has been working on sculptured pears for about the past five years. This year he reportedly has 10,000 Buddha-shaped pears. He achieves the effect through specially designed molds, locked in place around the fruit early in their growing stage.
Pretty cool, right? And far less terrifying than Adam and Eve potatoes...
Agh! Apparently they weren't so much grown as sculpted (where? why? no one knows really...), but hey, it's a potato with a penis. What can I say?
